The reality of the Middle East these days is that I'm mostly a war reporter. I've been studying Arabic for 10 years, though not fluent yet. Haven't been to Iraq in two years. My husband Amjad and I have a place in NYC, so we go back and forth quite a bit along with stops in the 'burbs where my parents still live. But we mostly live in Amman with our four Jordanian cats. Europe, which provides the occasional break from all this, is just four hours away by plane. Come visit!
