Married to my love Joe for 34 years this November. Have 2 grown children, Jonathan will be 31 and Kate will be 29. I am an R.N. with a Master's degree in education. I am teaching in a vocational high school for 18 years now and love it! The teachers at Conestoga would drop dead to know that I am now "one of them"! I also earned a Cooperative Education Certification and just finished a supervisory certificate. Not too bad for a kid that the teacher's and guidance counselors (and others!) thought would never make it! As a perpetual student, in college since 1990, I am lost as I have no other goals at the moment. I guess I need a hobby other than school.
Hope all are well and lets see if we can find more of us! It is great to read about all of you after all of these years.
I am a grandmother and can't believe the joy that it brings! Andrew Christopher is now nearly 5 and lights up my life. Andrew is georgous and is a true chatter box, a real Berkemeyer!
We are now cruise buffs and in addition to transiting the Panama Canal in 2007, we went to Bermuda in 2008 and
really enjoyed Alaska in August. Sadly Sarah had no time to see us!! We are constantly thinking of where to go next.
I enjoyed the 40th reunion, my first. So much has changed yet aren't we really all the same, just 40 years older?

Hi everyone. God it's been a long time since school days, a large part of our life has flown by. Now that I have time to sit and wonder, I wonder what she did, or he did , well I found this site and I'm finding out about some, although our class was so large, theres so many I don't know. I married a guy from Springford High School in June of 72 and I'm happy to say I'm still with him . (happily) We have 2 great sons , 4 grand girls and 1 boy. They are our biggest joy. We bought a 183 acre farm in huntingdon county, near Raystown Lake, in 1979. This is God's country here. It took me about 10 years to like it. After living practicly in K of P plaza it was hard to adjust to going 22 miles to a grocery store. I've had a good life, hope it continues for a while. Go married late in life to Dorothy and we have Chris (son) who is a senior at Bowdoin and Kate, a junior at Wellesley. I worked in market and social research until the early 90s when I changed careers and became a registered nurse, then a family nurse practitioner, and finally a professor of nursing after earning my Doctorate in Nursing Science from Yale. In 2003, I was struck with a very weird form of multiple myeloma that took 6 months to diagnose. I have since been through a stem cell transplant that has put me in remission for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, I am unable to return to work, so I volunteer as a trustee on the Board of Education, an elected position, and with Children's Village an organization that works with abused, abandoned, or orphaned boys. Glad to hear from anyone, particularly those in the Conestoga Sports Car Club. See you in October.

I was pretty quiet and nerdy at CHS - I guess I was saving my energy for later, which has worked out pretty well. I'm retired after 27 years with Bryn Mawr Hospital. My husband Brian and I like to see lots of scenery go by, both in our airplane (we met as fellow pilots at Perkiomen Valley Airport)and on our motorcycles. Most weekends we fly the dinky Cessna to our cabin in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia - awesome motorcycle roads, scenery, and wildlife. We've just about finished building our other getaway in SW Colorado, near Telluride- sagebrush, coyotes, & wide open spaces. Pennsylvania continues to be home base, since Brian (an overachieving science nerd)defected from retirement from GSK to be part of Merck's R&D effort. My sister Sally (CHS '67) realy enjoyed her class reunion this summer. Just curious...has anyone else experienced Ivan's Stress-Free Bar and Campground on the island of Jost Van Dyke? I'd love to hear from old CHS friends.

Greetings to all classmates! Over the past four years I have been very involved in activities at Conestoga. My son Rob, graduated in June, 2000 from 'stoga (as they call it now).
History has a way of repeating itself. Over 30 years ago, Karl Teets & I were in the same homeroom for all our years of high school. Over the last 3 years , his daughter, Laura, and my son, Rob, were in home room together too! Rob loved every minute of his 4 years at Conestoga and has made such wonderful friends....many of which have been together since elementary school at New Eagle.
Rob is a freshman at Lehigh University, majoring in Engineering.
He located our class yearbook in the school library and had such a laugh at our pictures. Conestogs is at least twice the physical size as in our days and the enrollment is approx. 1500 student from 9-12 grades. (They think its crowded?!?!?!?!) Just within the past few years Mr. Wolstenholme, Mr. Langhan and Mr. Glasser retired. Last year Mr. Sweatlock retired....Rob had him as a teacher in 9th grade while I had him in 8th grade at TE? The only teacher remaining from our days is Mr. Brad Butler (Science). He began CHS around '68. I get together with Barbara (Pro)Hopkins constantly. She too, has children that attended Conestoga!
I was involved with the 20th and 25th reunions. Looking forward to working on the next one....whenever that is!

After graduating/escaping from high school, I headed WEST to LA. Kicked around there for a few years working in the film industry. Finally decided to go to college at the tender age of 27. Became a Sign Language Interpreter. Worked in all areas of interpreting, and after about 15 years of interpreting, began teaching Sign Language at the private schools my children attended. August 2002 will mark my 20th wedding anniversary to David. He's a former musician, now an Area Coach for East Denver Market of Pizza Hut. We have two kids (Marshall: l0/16/86 and Samantha: 5/19/89). Marshall has that Learner's Permit thing that is going to be the end of me! It sounds like some of you can relate! Also, 2 cats and a brand new Golden Retriever (4/19/02).

I went to my husband's 50th high school reunion in Milford, CT, this summer. He was popular and had friends of all types....and got a sore neck hugging everyone he hadn't seen in 50 years.
I haven't been to a single one of our reunions - mainly because I moved to Florida and had children starting in 1978, didn't have money, etc. How many of them have I missed? There are many things I don't remember about the late 60s - for obvious reaons in some cases, and perhaps not so obvious in the rest. And now I find out occasionally how awful I was to this friend or that. It's dreadful, especially when now I'm ready to be available and relatively healthy.
